🎨 Be Part of Sicamous History!

Red Barn 100-Year Community Mural Project

To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Historic Red Barn in Sicamous, the Eagle Valley Arts Council is inviting community members to help create a permanent public mural that will become a lasting legacy for our community.

Working in partnership with Mural Mosaic Canada, hundreds of individually painted tiles will come together to create one spectacular mural celebrating the history of the Red Barn and the people who call the Eagle Valley home.

🖌️ How It Works

Each participant receives:

🎨 One mural tile
🖌️ A complete paint kit
📖 Step-by-step instructions

No artistic experience is required!

Unlike a paint-by-number project, you'll create your own unique design on your tile. Your artwork can be abstract, realistic, whimsical, or completely original.

The only requirement is that you use the colours provided in your kit according to the colour percentages outlined in the instructions. These colour guidelines ensure that, when every tile is assembled together, the completed mural reveals the larger image.

🎨 Want to Paint More Than One Tile?

If additional tiles are available, you're welcome to paint more than one.

Each tile has its own unique colour requirements, so every paint kit must remain with its assigned tile. Paint colours cannot be mixed, exchanged, or shared between kits. Following the instructions for each tile is essential to ensure the finished mural has the correct colours and faithfully recreates the overall design.

❤️ Leave Your Legacy

This mural is much more than an art project—it's a community collaboration that commemorates the Historic Red Barn's first 100 years while celebrating the creativity, history, and spirit of the people who make our community special.

Whether you're an experienced artist or have never picked up a paintbrush, your contribution will become part of a permanent public artwork that residents and visitors will enjoy for generations to come.
